What you have described is not the intended use of this product; however, many people do use the product in the manner you have suggested. Please remember, this is construction-grade film made largely of recycled materials. It's not approved by the FDA. Also, this film does not contain any UV inhibitors and it will break down with prolonged exposure to the outdoor elements.
