Can you use an extension cord for this, also how far away should the unit be from a structure?…( it would be on my deck with plastic railings.


"All Pit Boss® units should keep a minimum clearance of 914mm (36 inches) from combustible constructions, and this clearance must be maintained while the grill is operational. This appliance must not be placed under overhead combustible ceiling or overhang. Keep your grill in an area clear from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids" You can use an extension cord with the grill, but we recommend not using a cord smaller than 12 gauge or longer than 25 feet.
