Will the MD Backer Rod sold here at Lowes work for warranty purposes along wirh the silicone sealant if not using the WetProtect molding? I was told it is made from closed cell polyolefin foam. Thank you.

Hello! We do not have a list of recommended brands; however the backer rod should be a polyethylene foam. Any brand of silicone sealant may be used instead of the Wetprotect Molding as long as it is 100% silicone. Thank you for your Pergo inquiry- Pam
