Does this attract all the time or only at night when the light is on?

The PIC Solar Insect Killer Torch was designed to be a bug zapper when flying insects are most active at night. The solar battery is charged during the day and automatically turns on at dusk. This "turn on" is automatic. However, it can be turned on earlier, depending on the amount of light and we suggest putting your hand over the solar cell to turn it on at dusk in the event that it doesn't do so automatically. Due to its design, it is meant to attract flying insects where there is little to no competing light sources.
