Can i place lava rocks and then wood?


Hello Jemima, thank you for reaching out. This particular fire pit is designed for burning wood only. We do not recommend placing lava rocks in the bottom before adding wood, as doing so may cause the rocks to overheat and crack, posing a safety hazard. For best performance and safety, build your fire directly in the fire bowl using up to 5 lbs. of kindling and firewood.
