When setting Start Time - use Arrow to toggle A, B, C. then one of the buttons will highlight a box around the station 1, 2 so you know which port you are programing. I program A with port 1 and B with port 2 and then choose the 'clear' on C. As you toggle with arrow through A, B, C you should see box around 1 on A then box around 2 on B and nothing on C. Might be another option but its working for me.

Make sure you turn it back to auto once you set your timer..or if your doing it on manual just set time and zone and walk away

One thing that you'll want to double-check is each setting on the dial. If you accidentally skipped a step ("How Often," "Start Time," etc.), the timer won't work until all steps are programmed and completed.
