Is this self tooling?

Thank you for taking the time to share your question. The QUAD Sealant is not “self-tooling” but rather it shrinks during the curing process by solvent evaporation. For this reason, the QUAD Sealant is not recommended to be tooled. In general tooling of this type of sealant results in beads that may be too thin or do not have sufficient surface contact to withstand normal expansion/contraction of the building substrates. This situation can lead to more frequent maintenance situations. If you need further assistance, please call our Help Line at 1-800-624-7767 so we can help. Thank you again for the question.
