It says it protects for 12 months, says its effectiveness is 90 days, and suggests to reapply every 2-3 months. Why all the difference in timing?


Hello Brian, Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer Indoor & Perimeter Concentrate can be reapplied as needed. However, we recommend to re-treat outdoors at least once every three months. You may also re-apply indoors as needed. It will control certain insects for 12 months. We recommend to reapply every 3 months. For long-lasting residual control leave spray undisturbed. The product will keep on killing for up to 12 months for ants, roaches, and spiders INDOORS on non-porous surfaces. Outdoors the residual will last depending on weather conditions. Reapply after heavy rain.
