Once dry, it's very difficult to dislodge the residue, so exposure, if any, would be minimal. If unsure how long it takes for the product to dry, wait 24 hours. If the treated area becomes wet again (by rain, dew, or watering) after it has dried initially, the product won't become reactivated.
