Is the pipe 6" straight threw or just at the flair?


Neither. the term 6" refers to the nominal pipe size. The nominal pipe size is loosely based on the inside diameter of the pipe, but like in lumber sizes, will not be exactly 6" for either the inside diameter or the outside diameter. For example, the outside diameter of the barrel of 6" PVC SCH 40 is approximately 6.625". The inside diameter of the barrel is approximately 6.065".
