Do I need to put teflon tape round the threading joint?


Thank you for your inquiry on the 2-in dia ABS P-Trap Fitting. No, the only threaded connection on this p-trap is the union nut with straight threads. This seal is made when tightening the union when the two plastic halves are pressed together. The threads do not make the seal.
