I can't sand after the first coat. Will a second coat adhere? Will solvent based varnish adhere?


Hi, thanks for the interest in our Polycrylic protective finish product. Unfortunately, no. Sanding is required for adhesion. We can't guarantee varnishes will adhere, you would have to test on your own for compatibility. All my best, Dane @ Minwax Customer Support
