Can this be applied on top of Minwax Clear Satin Oil-Based Polyurethane to create a more matte finish?


Hello. Thanks for reaching out. Yes, our Polycrylic protective finish can be applied over our other polyurethane protective finishes. Make sure the existing oil-based poly coat is fully cure, in sound condition (no flaking, peeling, soft or wet/tacky areas), and sand like you would between the coats and remove the dust completely. Be aware though that Polycrylic is not for use outdoors and on floors/stairs or other hard wear/foot traffic areas. Take care, Dane @ Minwax Customer Support
