How do you defrost the freezer? Where is the drain? How much clearance is needed to drain?

Hello Helen, Thank you for your question regarding our Midea 7-cu ft Manual Defrost Chest Freezer Convertible To Refrigerator. To manually defrost the unit, you will need to disconnect the plug from the wall socket, open the door, and remove all food contents and baskets. Open the outflow hole and drainage hole located at the front of the unit (and place the water container at the outflow hole). It is recommended to remove the frost by using a plastic scraper or letting the temperature rise naturally until the frost melts.
