Can this be used as a kitchen backsplash? Also, are they 8 ft long sections, or 8ft wide (if the beadboard is vertical)?


Yes, but . . . The respondent from Empire must've misunderstood the question. The planks are 8 feet long and 5.5 inches wide, with the bead running the length of the plank. If you want to use it as a backsplash with the bead vertical (up and down), you'll be cutting each plank into a bunch of short pieces the height of the backsplash and installing them individually. (No big deal - but the other answer was misleading.)
