If I were to use this to replace the old acoustical ceiling tile (12" x 12"), would I need to remove the grid or can this be glued to that grid?


The PVC plank could be glued over the existing ceiling, however, you will be limited by the manufacturer's recommended installation uses on whatever adhesive you choose.
