I have 4" Dura-vent chimney 12' vertical height. Can I use a 3" to 4" transition and vent the stove through my existing 4" vent pipe?


Hello! If you transition the vent pipe from 3" to 4" vent pipe immediately at the back of the stove, you can use the 4" vent pipe the entire way. You can not transition from a smaller size of pipe into a larger size of pipe at any point in time away from the stove. The size of pipe you start with needs to be the size you finish with for proper drafting and to avoid any nuisance shut downs. Please call us at 1-800-251-0001 for any additional questions.
