Apply a high temperature black paint, which is available at Lowe's. To extend the life of the fire pit, this process should be repeated anytime you see rust forming, or at least once a year. Also, store the fire pit in a dry place when not in use. We hope you enjoy the fire pit for a long time! Please contact us at 866.814.0585 if you any other questions or need parts.
