How would something like this attach to a brick house?

drill holes in to a mortared (sp?) joint. Use screws with mollies. That will hold it to the house and to the ground.

Used a masonry drill bit, than used a cordless drill to drill holes into the brick at the necessary points. Installed anchors for masonry into the drilled holes. Than put the cover up against this, ran the screws through the cover into the ac\nchor points. You will certainly want to put this up against the installed spot and mark the spots where the screws will need to go through this. Just make sure you get a masonry drill bit of the correct diameter for the anchors to be inserted

I drilled the mortar joint and put a plug in and then screwed it to the brick

I not attached them ... they are just put against the house and they seem to stay. For a brick house you could use silicone.

You need a drill, anchors, screws, and washers. Just screw it in on both sides.
