Will this fit a Scotts (built by John Deere) 1742?


I'm wondering the same thing. If I could see the hole in the center, I'd know. If it has two flats instead of being round in the center, then no, it won't fit a Scott's. If it has a round hole with a key, then yes it will. My Scott's has is built just like the Sears Craftsman and has a keyed shaft to turn the wheel. The old MTD's used a shaft with two flat sides.

if your tire is held on by more than one lug bolt, (center) than no, it will not fit.
