Where is the off position so I don't run the battery down?

The analogue meter only uses battery power when being used to measure resistance, so there is no need for an "Off" switch. Just make sure that the selector is not left in the "Ohms" position, because if it is and the test leads touch, it will start to drain the battery.

Press and hold the power button for >2 seconds to turn it off. There's also a 3-Minute Auto Power Off feature.
