Will this work to fill in grout lines on ceramic tile. I will be laying vinyl planks over the tile.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding MAPEI Products! There are several Mapei procedures to follow when trying to cover an existing ceramic tile floor with glue down or floating vinyl flooring. In order to use a Self Leveler, you must first make sure the floor is clean and dry and soundly installed. Prime with a 2 roll on coat method, using the Mapei Eco Prim Grip. Once the ECO Prim Grip is dry, you can pour your Mapei Self Leveler Plus over it and must do so within 24 hours of applying the Eco Prim Grip. You could also grind and sand down the ceramic tile floor surface and clean. Once clean you can prime using the Mapei Primer T, diluted 2 parts water to one part primer and rolled on, one coat only. Once dry, you can now pour your Self leveler Plus with in 24 hours after applying the Mapei Primer T. The second method would be to mix the Mapei Planipatch with the Mapei Planipatch Plus to emboss the seams or joints of the ceramic tiles, however, this product and this method will only build up no more than 1/4" deep.
