Tried to install 3 switches in one junction box and they do not fit in the wall plate as the edges stick out too far, am I missing something?

Hi Sam, Thanks for choosing Lutron for your lighting! When you’re installing multiple dimmers in the same box, sometimes they won’t fit side-by-side right away. Most likely, the metal side fins on the dimmers need to be “derated”. This is when you remove the fins on the sides so they can sit closer together and line up properly with a multi-gang wall plate. Just keep in mind that derating lowers the dimmer’s maximum load with certain lighting types, so make sure your lights stay within the new capacity.
