Good afternoon. I was wondering if the LutronDiva 1.5-Amp 3-speed wired rocker fan control is ADA compliant for people with hand disibilities?

There is currently no specific ADA standard for lighting or controls. A product by itself cannot be compliant, but an entire application can be compliant. The product used must be operable by one hand and can not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. The force of activation must be less than 5 pounds. However, an ADA compliant application depends on the location of the controls as well, not just the control itself. A Diva fan control is operated with the paddle switch and the slider, both of which can be operated with one hand and do not require great force.
