Is this good for storing paint?

This bucket does not have a rubber seal in the lid so I would expect the paint would dry out after a while but they may have a paint bucket that I don't know about. Home Depot carrys a orange bucket that has a rubber seal in the lid which if I rember right It has a self locking lid for first time use but I had problems with the lid splitting on multi use I would think it would be good to transport paint but if I was going to do this I would make sure that I had an extra lid to use in cast of one splitting on you also with the self locking lid I know I wouldn't want paint all over the inside of my car.

Was this Answer Helpful ?I stored paint overnight in this bucket and I didn't have a problem with the paint drying. There was about a half a gallon of paint that I stored. However, I don't know how long you could store paint in this bucket.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It will work with a top.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It might work if you had a top for it. The ones I bought did not have tops with them. I see on the website that they sell pail/bucket lids and also buckets specifically for paint. You may want to see if any of those might work better for you. Congrats on refinishing cabinets by yourself - I just started mine and I already hate it.
