I was given this rose from a friend. I was told to wait til the fall, but it turned brown, leaves and all. So I planted it, will it live


I had a different rose bush that was just a stick, with just a few green leaves. I bought it for about $3, & planted it fall 2018. I was very surprised it survived winter in Utah, & bloomed just a few roses in late Spring & Summer.
