How to change the battery

Turn off the power, disconnect the fixture from AC power at the breaker to avoid electric shock. Remove the front cover inside. You’ll see the battery pack connected to the circuit board with a plug (usually a 2-pin or 3-pin connector). Unplug the connector from the board. Remove the battery from its holder or bracket. Plug the new battery into the connector. Secure it in the holder. Snap the cover back in place. Turn the breaker back on. Press the test button to confirm the unit operates on battery power.
