can the be used on outlets as night lights or just on switches?


No, this cannot be used on adorne outlets as it is only designed as an indicator light for adorne switches and outlets. To light up the adorne wall plate you could use item AAAL1G4 or use AANLM14 alongside the outlet with a 1 gang 3 mod adorne wall plate.
