plugged the unit into a 3 prong outlet, then a two prong extension into the unit....pressed the button, flashed, but did not work. help

Hello - Please contact the customer service team at 888-783-6082. Did you link the outlet to the remote? To do this you need to press the button on the side of the outlet and hold until it blinks, once it blinks keep holding down and press the button on the remote button you want to link it to. Thank you
