I am having this washer and matching dryer delivered in a few days. Can you use Pods or powder detergent in this? Which is preferred?


Either. Only once has a pod not opened for me.

The ENERGY STAR® MOST EFFICIENT 2016 LG 4.5-cu ft High-Efficiency Stackable Front-Load Washer with Steam Cycle (Graphite Steel), Model # WM4270HVA is specially designed to use only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent and you should make sure to use HE (High-Efficiency) detergent for front-loading washing machines. HE detergents dissolve more efficiently and produce fewer suds to ensure efficient washing and rinsing. The correct amount of detergent to use should be as indicated on the detergent packaging. Either Liquid or Powdered HE detergent can be added to the Main Wash Detergent Compartment. If HE detergent pods are available, you may be able to use them with the washer but you probably need to add them to the tub before loading clothes since you cannot place them in the detergent dispenser. For advice on that we strongly recommend that you follow the detergent manufacture's instructions on its' packaging or contact them...^IFV
