I used the paint to paint my sons ikea kura bed panels and when I rub the dry panels there is a blue residue. Is this normal?

Hello. It may be that you've experienced something called dry spray, which occurs when you hold the tip too far from the surface being coated and the droplets begin to dry before they hit the surface. Dry spray is more likely to occur when temperature is high, humidity is low, or when using a water-based coating. A sandy or rough surface is a good indication of dry spray. Many times a light sanding will smooth the rough surface and remove any poorly adhered droplets to prep the it for another coat. When applying the additional coat, be sure to hold the nozzle close enough to the surface so the paint floods the surface. This doesn't mean you want to apply the paint heavily (which may run or drip), but so that the individual droplets will meld together so the surface is being completely wet with the paint.
