If you mean, does tip turn in one direction, while you turn the grip back and forth, then, yes, it does that, as long as you hold the collar on the grip. If you don’t hold the collar on the grip, then it ratchets in the direction you have chosen, allowing you to turn the driver, then recover you initial position without turning, so you can turn the driver again in the desired position. It is nice to have both options.
