I just got the routee and table and having issues lifting. It goes down fine, but when i use the wrench the router drops. Any ideas?

Definitely a design flaw. Workaround is a little pressure from back of router bottom to keep gear engaged. What do you want for 150 bucks!

I took the router out and sanded both pieces with 1500 girt sandpaper and put a lite coat of CRC white Grease on both and lubed the gears also.

If you adjust it too far the the gear disengages. Its an easy matter to lift the router by hand a bit to re-engage

I have a similar issue. The long gear that sets the depth broke in two while using the wrench through the top. I'm trying to find a replacement part. IMO, the gears are not strong enough to support the weight of the router. To avoid breaking the gear, tip the table on its' side when making adjustments so you don't have to overcome gravity.

i am having this problem also, you can put your finger behind the bit or collet nut and push it forward lightly and the router will not fall, atleast mine doesn't. if you just turn the key mine would drop as well and this stopped that.
