Why did the price jump from $129 to $169 within the past week?

You are correct. It was a part of the black friday sale. I have been watching it for a while and was lucky enough to get one at tbe $129 sale price but $169 is the everyday price which really isnt bad either compared to other table/router sets

Was this Answer Helpful ?I went in to Lowe's today and expected to pay $169. Was very excited to see a price on the shelf saying reduced to $129. When I checked out I kept an eye out and sure enough their system priced it at $169. I told them what the shelf said and they went to check it out. Since that is what was on the shelf tag, they gave me the $129 price. Oh what a happy day.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The same thing happened again now. I think Lowes had it as a Black Friday special that ran through Christmas. The problem though was for most of that time it was not available on line or in local stores. Now it is back to the $169.00
Was this Answer Helpful ?It probably is a combination of increased labor cost, increased cost of materials, and increased shipping cost from China. Many corporations have been moving to other countries in Asia and the U.S.A. because of these increasing cost. The tariffs could have some to do with the increased cost of tools from China. I was thinking of buying this router and table on sale as it looks to be a good deal for the price.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Well it went back down. Just a little wait for you
Was this Answer Helpful ?More than likely it has to do with the tariffs that the US federal government has imposed on imports from countries such as China. Not sure if this is accurate or not but, I have seen other product's prices go up significantly since the tariffs were enacted.
