How many screws are needed per 5-foot section of K-Rail?


I would recommend at least 6, 3 on top and 3 on bottom mounted to studs. Thats how I have my 5 rails mounted on a single wall (spread out and staggered of course)

I would recommend a screw on top and bottom in each stud.

I used a screw per stud for the length of the rail. If you do the math, that's about four screws. Each screw can support about 50 pounds in shear so you can load the rail with about 200 pounds of tools. If you have more weight than that, double the screws to two per stud.

Personally, I used eight which holds a 5 foot Dewalt ladder and four brooms
