How do you use it? I cannot get it to turn.

Have to hold the black ring

The collar nearest the tip of the driver moves in and out along the axis of the driver. There are little arrows painted on the collar. You pull out for turning one direction, and push in for turning the other. To use the "speed" feature, hold the metal ring while turning the handle.

It should work by grabbing the collar with one hand while turning the handle with the other hand. When you do it this way it will only turn the way use the switch on the bezel to change the direction. Check and make sure the switch is not stuck or in a locked position.
