No, or at least mine can't. I've tried to use it to remove lugs from a car and it was not capable of removing lugs that was torqued to 70 ft/lbs.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes. It puts out the equivalent of 150 ft lbs. More than enough to loosen your average automobile lug nuts. And yes you can use sockets with the appropriate adapter
Was this Answer Helpful ?No. This is an impact "driver" (screwdriver) that puts out torque in inch-pounds. You want an impact "wrench" that outputs in foot-pounds. It is made to attach 1/4" screwdriver bits, not sockets.
