Can you buy extra batteries? What is cost? How much time to charge dead battery?

The batteries are a bit pricey by themselves. Expect to pay around $40 per amp-hour. So a 2ah battery would run about $80, 4ah around $160, etc. I have never seen these batteries go on sale either. You will also need a separate charger, which is another $40 or so. Those do go on sale sometimes, so watch out for deals around the holidays. If you don't have a battery and charger already, I advise you also watch out for deals on a combo kits, like a 40v leaf blower that comes with a battery and charger, since the price of the combo is often the same or less than buying the battery and charger separately, and you get a free tool in the kit. There are many tools that come with a battery and charger, just make sure you get the 40v, and not the 24v or 80v, since they are not interchangeable. The leaf blower, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer are all great tools and usually reasonably priced.
