Why does the package say it works on later paint but the description says it's NOT for water based paints. Isn't latex water based?

Jenn - We apologize for the discrepancy. Klean Strip Brush Rescue will work to remove latex paint from brushes, which is the same as water based paint. It is a paint brush cleaner to remove the paint from the brushes rather than a general paint remover, and will work for both oil based and latex paints.
