It states that this pump is self priming and in the operating manual it states it has to be primed. Which is it?


Greg - Thank you for reaching out to our Technical Support Team. I can understand the confusion and it is both. The pump is powerful enough on the high setting to prime itself which is why the pump must run for 5 minutes on the highest setting. However, you would not have to manually open it and physically add water to prime it. -GP Support
