The dripline for an arborvitae is less than the recommended minimum distance. Where should I place the spike?


We use these for our Arborvitae and I just moved them a bit further out from the drip line until the tree expanded from natural growth.

I would stick to the recommended minimum distance. You wouldn't want to burn up the tree. The fertilizer will still get to the tree. It might just be a little bit diluted.

These are made for deciduous tress, not evergreens. You may not see any benefit.
