Is this sensor likely to report motion by detecting infrared from vehicles passing by on a street ninety feet away?

Hi Phil, we appreciate you reaching out. That is highly unlikely. Although we're unable to specify motion detection distance, ninety feet away would certainly be outside of the area.

My experience with PIR sensors says no. I have a few cameras triggered by PIR motion and around 30-40 feet is the best I’ve seen for them. This sensor isn’t rated for outdoor use and is unlikely to survive unless well covered. Glass in front of the sensor would stop it from detecting as the glass would interfere.
