Is this device likely to report motion from vibrations like those from a truck hitting a pothole in front of my house?

Hi Phil, thank you for reaching out, that is highly unlikely. This is a passive infrared sensor. It shouldn't detect motion for the vibrations of a truck unless it's so much that it actually shakes the entire house.

Highly UN-likely. It is a passive infrared sensor so mainly it is looking for heat to detect movement.
