Are you able to cut them?

Tin snips.

I did not cut angles in the corners. I used tin snips, cut to length and let the two overlap. Worked very well and I felt it will add strength to the corner area. I did cut the locking lip off on the piece that was installed on top in the corner area only.

You can use metal snips, which is very easy or a metal cut off wheel

I did my corners with tin snips, and I would NOT recommend doing them that way. It was a huge pain. I ended up having to overlap the two a bit then held them together tightly with small zip ties, but in the end it worked. It was just very time consuming. I honestly think a dremel would work great for cutting the 90 degree corners. I hope this helps!
