The gutter guards goes under the first shingle on your roof, so they will work for the 5" gutters.
Was this Answer Helpful ?They are made to go under your shingles, so trimming them would make them impossible to install. In places where I did need to trim (corners, for wires, etc.) it was not to bad with gloves and a tin snip.

Was this Answer Helpful ?I installed them on 5 inch gutters and only trimmed the ends to fit the overall run. The inside corners I overlapped cutting off the locking lip on the overlaying end. Went really fast with only tin snips.
