Will this pick up 120v circuits that are de-energized? For example, trying to locate a wire where likely a screw or something hit it causing a short


Alan yes it can work on non-energized circuits. It is best if you can disconnect both ends of the wire as if one end is connected it will also place the tone on all the wires that end is connected to as well. If you need help reach out to me Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com
