Jsut purchased this meter wamting to use the NCV setting but it will inly display EF. I have gone inside, outside , and all i get is EF. So frustrated


Hi Tony the sensor is in the middle of the top of the tester and will not work like the voltage sticks you might see out there that have the sensor in the very tip that can be inserted into an outlet. The tester will sense AC with the NCV function on like an extension cord and may work with some outlets as well. If I can help please let me know Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com
