will this work with hunter cabo frio model- 50257 and will i be able reverse the fan direction with it


Hello, yes, this receiver/remote combo would be compatible with the fan as long as you have it wired to an on/off toggle switch only. The reverse switch is located on top of the motor to change the airflow direction. Slide the reversing switch to the opposite side. Please refer to page 16 in the owner's manual.
