Why are fan manufacturers replacing standard bulb bases with candelabra bases?


they are smaller and use less energy. yes they burn out too quick . the more you go in the smaller bulbs by watts the quicker they burn out. i recommend using the energy florsent candelbra builbs. more light less watts. a 60 watts will give out over 200watts but the light kit doesnt know that. you can get a 100 watt floesent bilb and uses like 25 watts. yes they make them in the small bulbs candelbra.
