The bristles are Semi-Stiff BUT Soft.

Was this Answer Helpful ?The bristles are flexible but stiff plastic at the point where they connect to the handle. Toward the tips of each bristle, the plastic is split so that it has a soft tip.

Was this Answer Helpful ?The bristles are a combination of both but are still relatively soft. I don't think they are rigid enough to scratch your fan blades under normal use.
